A semester in the life of an art major!

These are some projects from last semester. I had at least one painting due each week and I had to use a different technique each time, it was way fun!

Here's Mr.Prince charming himself. Ezra hates it, I think it's funny! He must not like purple.

Chinese people!

Weird I know. If you don't understand refer back to the evil squirrel post.

This is me trying my hand at abstract expressionism.

These are some of my drawings from the head drawing class I took from Leon Parson last semester. Most of these took me 1-2 hours. They are all from life, sometimes it's hard to get the models to hold still. I'm in this class again this semester!

Homework, oh homework I hate you, you stink.
I wish I could wash you away in the sink.
If only a bomb would explode you to bits,
homework oh homework you're giving me fits.

I'd rather take baths with a man-eating shark,
or wrestle a lion alone in the dark.
Eat spinach and liver, pet ten porcupines,
than tackle the homework my teacher assigns.

Homework oh homework you're last on my list
I simply don't see why you even exist.
If you'd just disappear it would tickle me pink.
Homework oh homework I hate you, you stink.

Meet Jo

Ezra had to leave town for a couple days and I wasn't too excited about it. I was one day into classes and already overwhelmed by my work load. Yeah! for cramming classes so I can graduate. Anyway I tried to convince Ezra to stay.

The day he was supposed to leave, I had just walked in from class and he told me to close my eyes because he had a surprise for me. When I opened my eyes I saw our lamp with a hat on, a face, and holding a gun. Ezra proudly announced "Meet Jo! He is going to protect you while I am gone, If the mustache doesn't scare them away the gun will." I said, "thank you for jo, you are so weird." Then I laughed.

I think I might keep him around for awhile just in case Ezra has to leave again.

All the girl cousins (well all minus 3) had a sleep over at Grandmas house it was way fun! We played games, watched a movie and laughed--a lot. What a cute group of girls. We all look really good in this picture because just woke up.

The family decided to go to "little mountain" it's the best sledding hill in the universe because you don't have to walk back up and the ride down takes at least 15 minutes. It's way fun! I was the only person over 18 that went on all 8 runs. I am so sore! I used to be able to do 8 runs no problem, I guess I'm experiencing the first signs of aging!

We spent most of the day today at my aunt Diane and uncle Blaine's ranch- tubing behind four wheelers. It was way fun, but I might not be able to move tomorrow. I don't think Ezra knows the meaning of the words SLOW DOWN!

A few more gifts!

I painted a picture of my Grandma Taylor for my Dad, he loved it!

Ezra excited about his new coat!

Me very excited about my new sewing machine!

Christmas!

Christmas Eve, lot's of good food and card games. Grandma and Grandma Roper Got to spend Christmas with us, it was fun to have them around!

The funnest part of Christmas day was watching our little nephew Landen open his presents!

Nice Hat!
