EZRA

Ezra has been doing great! He is feeling much more like his normal self. His headache has finally started to go away. We went to therapy for the first time on Wednesday, we originally had to see three different therapists, but two of them passed him off on his first appointment. Now if we can just get through speech therapy we should be good to go!

EZRA

Ezra kind of had a rough day today. He's sick of just sleeping, we've tried to explain that it's good for him right now, I don't think he buys it. He was more active today and it totally wiped him out. He wants to get back to normal so bad, we keep telling him that he is going to have to be patient.

EZRA

After a bumpy ride in the RV Ezra finally made it to Twin Falls, We will be staying with Dave and Shanna until he is feeling better. When we told Ezra that he was going to be able to leave the hospital he said, "aren't you supposed to feel better when you leave the hospital?" He also said that he wouldn't mind driving the RV back to Twin. ( :

He's still feeling pretty crummy and we've got a little bit of a road a head of us before he's back to his normal self. We are just happy that he is doing as well as he is and he's happy to finally be in a familiar place. We start therapy next week.

EZRA

This is the life flight paramedic that took care of Ezra on the way to the hospital, he was the nicest guy. When Shanna and I first got to the hospital he came and talked to us. He said that Ezra put up a pretty good fight on the way to Boise.

Ezra is going to be able to leave the hospital tomorrow. Luckily, they said that we will be able to do out-patient therapy in Twin Falls. He has been able to go on some walks around the hospital and has done really well. The doctors and nurses are all surprised at how quickly he is progressing. Thanks again!

EZRA

Ezra was released from the ICU yesterday and is now on the neuro floor. His motor skills are good, and he's been working on some of his cognitive skills. We are very optimistic, he seems to be getting better everyday. Thank you for all your prayers and support!

This past weekend we had quite the experience. We were almost half way home from Montana when we found out that I-15 was closed! We asked the officer if there was any other way and he said, "you better just find a hotel, this road might be closed for a few days." If it had not been for the armed police officer standing guard Ezra would have braved the icy roads anyway.

We decided on another rout that would bring us home to Rexburg. Our ride home ended up being pretty exciting, we passed two ghost towns. In the end we added a few hours to our trip but Ezra got us all home in one piece.

Well we're about a month into school and we are ready to quit! Just Kidding! School is good but we are very busy! I paint all day and Ezra does accounting til he can't take it anymore- don't ya love college.
Actually, we have done some really fun stuff: demolition derby, ice caves, kung fu panda, rodeo, Lord of the Rings marathon. Now we are just trying to figure out what we are going to be for Halloween.

Just a Little Update

It's only been about four months since my last post, and yes.....I am aware of the fact that there are only about four people that know this blog exists. But I will write any way, to inform all four of you that:

We are so excited about the new temple in Twin Falls, We got to go through it and it is so beautiful!

We have a new nephew named Landen, he is so adorable. He is such a happy baby and so much fun!

We have had some of the funnest vacations of our lives- Our repelling trip to Zions was as beautiful as it was fun. Bear Lake was an absolute riot, Ezra learned how to sail and has decided to make it his new hobby. We have been able to spend a lot of time with family this summer and it has been great.

We have two calves- Hartford and Eli, I bottle fed them for a month at 6:00 am every morning- and unlike many of my other pets they are still alive and getting fatter and fatter. The only downside to the whole situation is that eventually they will be eaten, it is a sad reality of life that I am learning to cope with. (pictures to come)

I love living in Idaho, it is so beautiful here! I have become acostumed to living in the boonies, and find my new surroundings quite refreshing. We have had so much fun having friends and family come and visit us on the farm this summer!

Sings whenever he knows the words (not knowing the word doesn’t necessarily stop him.)
Still thinks it’s funny to poor cold water on people in the shower.
Rides on the shopping cart.
Announces secrets.
Likes to jump on the bed.
Won’t go to bed.
Can’t sleep because he has too much energy.
Builds snow forts in the backyard.
Dances whenever he hears music (He’s not trying to be funny that’s just him.)
Sneaks items such as candy and balloons into the shopping cart.
Memorizes lines from Disney movies.
Tells me that I have bugs in my hair.
Forgets to whisper.
Does not like to take medicine.
Bought toy helicopters with the gift cards from our wedding.
Thinks sleeping in is waking up at 6:00am.
Imitates every noise he hears.
Throws spaghetti on the ceiling to see if it’s done.
Puts food coloring in the toilet (don’t ask.)

I used to get embarrassed by his many antics but now I just laugh. I secretly wish that I had the gumption that he does, even though sometimes it gets him in trouble. Ezra does not care what other people think and he never has. What you see is what you get. I really admire this about him. He’s not scared to just be himself. He lives his life to the fullest. He takes advantage of the abilities and opportunities that he has been given. He honestly wants to make the most of everyday.
